Inclusive hiring

Accessible, inclusive work on WORKORA

Remote contract work removes some barriers and leaves others in place. WORKORA's approach is practical: keep accessibility preferences private and under your control, let employers declare what they genuinely offer, and make the platform itself usable with a keyboard and a screen reader.

Your accessibility preferences stay private

Accessibility settings live in your account and are protected by server-side access rules. They are not published on your profile, they are not visible to employers, and sharing anything is opt-in and reversible.

  • Set display and interaction preferences that apply as you use WORKORA.
  • Choose what, if anything, is shared with a specific employer.
  • Send a confidential accommodation request tied to one application.
  • Change or withdraw what you share at any time.

What employers declare

Employers can add inclusive details to their own listings — accessible formats, flexible scheduling, or openness to arranging accommodations. These come from the employer and are shown as declared, so you can filter for them when browsing work.

WORKORA does not award inclusivity badges of its own and does not describe an employer as inclusive without a declaration from them.

Accessibility built into the platform

Keyboard navigation, visible focus states, screen-reader labelling, sufficient contrast and adjustable display settings apply across WORKORA, not to a separate accessible version. The platform runs in 16 languages with full right-to-left support on mobile and desktop.

For employers who want to hire inclusively

Declare the accommodations you can actually provide on your listing, respond to accommodation requests through the private channel, and keep the commitment specific. A concrete, honest declaration reaches candidates far better than a general statement of values.

Common questions

What makes a listing inclusive on WORKORA?

Inclusive details are declared by the employer on their own listing — for example accessible-format materials, flexible hours or a willingness to arrange accommodations. WORKORA shows only what the employer has declared and never labels a company inclusive on its behalf.

Do I have to disclose a disability to use accessibility features?

No. Accessibility preferences are private to your account, and you choose what, if anything, is shown to anyone else. Nothing about your accessibility settings is public by default.

How do I request an accommodation?

You can send an accommodation request tied to a specific application or engagement. It goes only to the party you send it to; it is not published on your profile and is not visible to other employers.

What accessibility support does the platform itself have?

WORKORA supports keyboard navigation, screen-reader labelling, visible focus states, adjustable display preferences and 16 languages with full right-to-left support, and the same features are available across mobile and desktop.
